Brunswick Astronomy Club Web Site

On a clear night under a dark sky, you can see about 2000 stars with your unaided eye. You can look trillions of miles into space and see thousands of years into the distant past.

As you gaze at the stars you may wonder: What is the meaning or pattern of the night sky? What is my place in the heavens? You are not alone in asking these questions. The mysteries of space have always fascinated people.

Astronomy is the oldest science and one of the newest. Discoveries are being made today with the most sophisticated equipment and techniques ever available. Yet the dedicated amateur astronomer can still make important contributions.

The Brunswick Astronomy Club will teach you the basic concepts of astronomy and space exploration. You will learn to enjoy the beauty of the night sky as your knowledge and understanding grow.

The Club meets on second Thursday of every month at the Brunswick Recreation Center. Our meetings are open to the public and best of all they are FREE to everyone. Visit our EVENTS page for meeting details and to learn more about upcoming events and star parties.

Come, discover and learn at your own pace. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site!
