When and Where We Meet

The Brunswick Astronomy Club is a non-profit, educational organization established in 1991. Our goal is to bring, both novice and advanced, amateur astronomers together in the excitement of exploring and enjoying our universe.

On  a clear night under a dark sky, you can see about 2,000 stars with the unaided eye. You can look trillions of miles into space and see thousands of years into  the past.

As you gaze at the stars you may wonder: What is the meaning or pattern of the night sky? What is my place in the heavens? You are not alone in asking these questions. The mysteries of space have fascinated people for thousands of years.

Astronomy is the oldest science and one of the newest. Discoveries are being made today with the use of the most sophisticated equipment and techniques ever available. Yet, the dedicated amateur  astronomer can still make important contributions.

The Brunswick Astronomy Club will teach you the basic concepts of astronomy, astrophysics, and space exploration. With us, you will learn to enjoy the beauty of the night sky as your knowledge and understanding grow.
